Hello – and welcome to the very first blog post for Borsdane Wood and Rayner Park.
We’re really pleased to finally be launching this space as a simple, friendly way to keep everyone up to date with what’s happening across the site – whether you visit for a quiet walk, family time, nature spotting, photography, or to take part in our community events.
This blog will be used to share:
- 🌿 Upcoming events and activities – from seasonal walks and family sessions to community days and special projects
- 📸 Photo features – including sets of images from local photographers and visitors who love capturing the changing landscape and wildlife
- 🛠️ Updates about paths, access and site improvements – so you can plan your visits with confidence
- 📰 General site and community updates – including notices, small changes around the site and other useful information for visitors
- 🎉 Event round-ups and mini reviews – a chance to look back at what’s taken place and celebrate the people who helped make it happen
- 👋 Special visits and VIP moments – when organisations, guests or partners visit the park and woodland
Our aim is to make this blog useful, welcoming and easy to follow – whether you live locally and visit every week, or you’re discovering Borsdane Wood and Rayner Park for the first time.
Borsdane Wood and Rayner Park are special places for many people. They offer a valuable green space for walking, learning, relaxing, exploring nature and spending time together. This blog will help us share what’s going on behind the scenes as well as what’s happening on the ground – from small maintenance updates to larger community events.
We also hope this will become a place where the creativity of our visitors can be shared. If you are a local photographer and would like your images to be featured, or you have a story connected to the park or woodland that you’d like to tell, we would love to hear from you.
Over time, you’ll start to see regular posts appear here covering:
- what’s coming up,
- what’s recently taken place,
- and any important information about access, paths or facilities.
Thank you for supporting and enjoying Borsdane Wood and Rayner Park. We look forward to using this blog to keep you better connected with the place, the people and the activities that help make it such an important part of our local community.
Please check back soon for our first event updates and photo features.
