A lovely early glimpse of spring in Rayner Park, captured by Barbara Lyon, our group Secretary.
This photograph shows small clusters of crocuses pushing through last autumn’s fallen leaves – bright yellow blooms alongside delicate purple flowers – bringing a welcome splash of colour to the woodland floor. It’s a simple but uplifting reminder that the seasons are beginning to change and that new life is quietly returning to the park.

If you’re out for a walk over the coming days, take a moment to look down as well as around you. These early flowers often appear tucked beside paths and under trees, and they are one of the first signs that spring is on its way here at Rayner Park.
