One of the highlights of this year’s Friends of Borsdane Wood and Rayner Park Art Exhibition was the generous donation of an original painting of Rayner Park by local artist Michael.

Rather than selling the artwork himself, Michael donated the original painting to the Friends Group so it could be included in our sealed-bid auction, with all proceeds supporting our work in Borsdane Wood and Rayner Park.

We’re pleased to announce that the painting sold for £70 to Dan Shaw, landlord of the Hare & Hounds in Hindley, where it is now proudly displayed for customers and visitors to enjoy.

We’d like to offer our sincere thanks to Michael for both his artistic talent and his generosity. Donations such as this not only raise valuable funds but also celebrate the places that make our local community so special.

We also extend our thanks to Dan for supporting the Friends Group and giving the painting a wonderful new home where it can be appreciated by many more people.
