September Volunteers Give 120 Hours

Our volunteers gave an impressive 120 hours of their time during September, helping to support Borsdane Wood, Rayner Park and the work of the Friends Group. Thank you superstars!

September was a particularly busy month, with our usual volunteering and administration joined by committee work, bat walks and our three-week photography exhibition. Those hours also include the less visible work that goes on behind the scenes, such as preparing events, publicity and producing material for the exhibition.

September’s total is a good reminder of just how much work is carried out by volunteers throughout the year. Some of it happens outdoors in the wood and park, while plenty more takes place quietly in the background to keep events, projects and the group itself running smoothly.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time during September. Whether you helped for an hour, attended a work session, supported an event or contributed behind the scenes, it all adds up, and 120 hours in a single month is a fantastic collective effort.

If you would like to get involved with the Friends of Borsdane Wood & Rayner Park, we are always happy to hear from new volunteers. There are plenty of different ways to help, and you do not need to make a regular commitment.
